19. Nanded

22. Jhalawar

25. Chittaurgarh
Chittaurgarh is the name that evokes countless images of the courageous Rajput rulers. The Rajput rulers laid down their lives in the battlefield and the queens entered the sacred fires to save themselves and their children from atrocities of the invading army. The history of Chittaurgarh leaves an impression that is wondrous, awe inspiring, confusing and heart rending. The sacrifice by the women folk to preserve their honor and of the city inspires a patriot heart. Your heart will fill with sorrow for the innocent lives lost due to the greed of some people.
Chittaurgarh city is the administrative headquarters of the Chittaurgarh district in the state of Rajasthan. It was the former capital of the Sisodia clans of Chattari Rajputs of Mewar. The fort area of the Chittaurgarh fort is good for exploration. Chittaurgarh fort is a living testimony of the brave Rajput rulers. The architecture of the fort is simply superb. Rana Sabha Palace: Near the Vijay Stambha at the entrance gate is Rana Kumbha’s palace. This is the oldest monument. Maharaja Udai Singh was born here, who was the founder of Udaipur. The palace is built from plastered stone. There is a beautiful Sammidheshwar temple near the tower of victory. There is a Gaumukh reservoir and according to the legend, Ala-ud-din-Khilji, the sultan of Delhi was allowed to see the reflection of Queen Padmini in these palaces. Water in this reservoir gushes out of a rock that looks like a cow’s mouth, hence the name Gaumukh. The queen Padmini and other women are believed to have performed Jauhar here. Now there is an archiological office and a museum across the palace. The Singa Chowri Temple is also nearby.
Padmini Palace: It is at this palace where Alauddin was allowed to glance at the mirror image of Rani Padmini, she was the wife of Maharana Rattan Singh. It is believed that the glimpse of Padmini’s beauty obsessed him and persuaded him to destroy Chittor to gain control over her. Maharana Rattan Singh was killed and Rani Padmini committed Jauhar. It is believed that Rani Padmini’s beauty and life story was comparable to Cleopatra and her life history. Akbar removed the bronze gates that belonged to the porch area and transported it to Agra.

What Else See In Chittaurgarh
Chittaurgarh fort is the biggest fort in the country seated on a 180-meter hill and covers an expanse of 700 acres. Vijay stambh is a very huge nine-storey tower build by Maharana Kumbh in 1440 to celebrate his victory over the Muslim rulers of Malwa. This tower is 122 ft high and has a base of 10 ft. there are beautiful sculptures and carvings on the walls of this tower. The insides of the tower are carved with images of Gods, weapons and other things.
Kirti stambh is another such tower, which is dedicated to Adinath who was the first Jain Tirthankar.

Wardha is a town in Maharashtra state which is associated with Mahatma Gandhi. The place derives its name from the Wardha River that flows through it. Kelzer has a beautiful temple of Lord Ganesh popularly called as Varad Vinayak. It is one of the temples from the Ashtavinayak in the Vidarbha region. The sculpture of the Lord belongs to the Arya period.
Fuji Guruji came to Wardha from Japan and met Mahatma Gandhi in 1935. He wished to set up a Stupa where the Buddhist can offer prayers. Gandhiji agreed to this proposal and eight Shanti Stupas were built at different places in India. One of them is at Wardha. The stupas in Wardha describe the history and life of Lord Gautam Buddha.
Gandhi Gyan Mandir is a public library opposite to Bajajwadi. The most interesting feature of this library is that there are books written by Mahatma Gandhi and Books on Mahatma Gandhi. Dr Rajendra Prasad laid the foundation stone of Gyan Mandir in Wardha in 1950. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the library.
Gitai Mandir is the place where Acharya Vinobha Bhaves Gitai became perpetual. Achrya ji translated the Bhagwat Gita into Gitai. For this reason, a number of polished stones were brought from different places and arranged vertically. These stones were arranged to form a cow and 18 shlokas of the Gita are engraved on it. This temple is unusual as it has no ceilings and no walls. There is a permanent exhibition arranged in Shanti Kuti in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and Jamnalal Bajaj.
